live live live

From Saturday 6 December, tune in to VRT 1 for an evening of live music in its purest, and most unexpected form. Artists as you’ve never heard them before, guided by host Bart Peeters, musician and master storyteller.

The VRT studio is transformed into an intimate club, where Bart welcomes artists and music lovers for conversations about their passion for music. The result is a series of unexpected stories: as for Glints, he was once a choirboy, and Lieven Scheire also holds a deep affection for choral music and polyphony. No coincidence, then, that in episode five the Vlaams Radiokoor takes the stage.

Glints: "The music I make is always deeply inspired by choirs and opera, especially a song like “Roma”. The icing on the cake is having the Vlaams Radiokoor join in. It sounds pretty insane. In my head it's like this, together with the orchestra, that I always wanted to record this song. It's the way it was originally meant to be. I am incredibly happy to have the opportunity to perform it together with The Atomic Orchestra and the Vlaams Radiokoor."

Live Live Live also shines a spotlight on the musicians themselves: 46 top-level performers share their passion and talent. From the marimbas hidden inside your smartphone to the mood swings of the trumpet: the musical universe of The Atomic Orchestra has no limits.

A magical Saturday evening from the comfort of your sofa: full of discovery, delight, and music that stays with you long after the final note.
